1. Introduction to garment construction :terms used in garment construction functions of clothes and career areas in the fashion industry.

2. Safety rules and health hazards in the fashion industry and studios.

3.The sewing machine: Parts of a sewing machine, functions and remedies.

4. Tools and equipment used in garment Construction:

5. Stitches and seams: Functions of stitches,seams and procedures for making different stitches and seams.

Course Requirements:

- Sketch book

- Access to a computer with design softwares.

- pattern drafting tools,and garment construction tools and equipment.

 *Assessment Methods:

1. Assignments: cats and projects to apply concepts learned in class.

2. Presentations: learners will do individual presentation on areas assigned by the trainer.

3.Files: A final file showcasing the learners work throughout the course.

4. End of term exam:Done by all learners on the specified dates and time.
